Indianapolis Etc. Etc. Etc. April may be even more action packed than the month of May this year. The City County Council has a full plate of controversial issues to tackle. Beulah Coughenour, City Councilor, has introduce an ordinance that would ‘create a smoke-free work place for employees’. The proposal is set for hearing before the Rules and Public Policy committee of the Council.***Lance Langsford and Karen Horseman, Councilors both, are to be co-sponsors of the billboard moratorium ordinance. The Department of Metropolitan Development committee, chaired by Langsford, is expected to hear the proposal at its April 21st meeting.***Redistricting appears now to be a done deal. The maps generated by the Indiana Supreme Court will be in effect for the May 6th Primary. To view the map, check out the Council website page at: www.indygov.org/council/redistricting/rdmap.pdf***The day after the Indy 500 Hyperfix becomes reality (or the summer’s nightmare). That’s INDOT’s plan to shut down the entire ‘spaghetti bowl’ from May 26 to August 19, so that I-70 and I-65 can be overhauled.
