The Rule of Unintended
Consequences The Near East Side Community Organization will host a series of workshops through the Fall. The first was offered on May 3rd and was titled "How to Research Your House History”. These free workshops are sponsored by NESCO's History and Preservation Committee, with assistance from the Indiana Historical Society and Historic Landmarks Foundation of Indiana. This new committee was formed to collect and preserve historic information about Indianapolis's near eastside, share our history with the public, and to promote the preservation of historic structures. Future programs include "Share Your History" copy clinics (July 26, August 23, and September 27, 3:00 - 7:00 p.m., Spades Park Library) and "The Near Eastside: Then and Now" slide show (November 1, 6:00 p.m., Woodruff Place Town Hall).
