The McANA Board voted unanimously on 9/1/04 to present the following amendment of our By-Laws to the General Membership for disposition. We shall take a vote at our next General Membership meeting, to be held at 9:00 am, Saturday, September 18, 2004. This meeting will be at the North United Methodist Church on the NW corner of 38th and Meridian Streets. An affirmative vote of a majority of the Member Associations present will be required for passage.

Special Voting Requirements

Should a special circumstance require an action of the Board of Directors and there is not sufficient time to call a meeting, the President my contact the directors by telephone and call for the vote individually. Such votes must be recorded audibly and confirmed in writing at the next monthly Board of Directors meeting. The audio tape must be transferred to the Secretary at the next available meeting.

A written record, including the time and date of the conversation, should document verbal votes the records must be transferred to the Secretary at the next available meeting for signature by the director that cast the vote. Such records shall remain with the official minutes of the organization.

A vote cast by email must be sent from an email address registered to the director and should include the text of the subject and request for a vote to be cast. Email votes must be printed in hard copy form and transferred to the secretary at the next available meeting for signature by the director that cast the vote Such records shall remain with the official minutes of the organization.
