With the Annual meeting fast approaching (November 13), President Cathy Burton has set up a Nominations Committee to bring a recommended slate of Officers and Directors for McANA’s Board. The Officers serve for one-year terms and the Directors for two year terms. The committee will be chaired by Mary Walker and include Sanford Garner and Cornell Burris. Two others have been approached but not yet accepted.

All Officer positions are up for election as are the Directorships now held by Zeola Adair (Center), Terry Sylvester (Decatur), Terry Foster (Franklin), Beth Lembke (Lawrence), Margaret Schattner (Perry), Kim Boyd (Pike), Merri Anderson (Wayne), and M.L. Coleman (Washington). There are also empty seats from Decatur, Franklin, Perry, and Warren that can be filled.

Each member organization votes for one candidate for each office and one person to serve as Director for the Township(s) where that organization is located. Next month’s Common Ground will contain a ballot for those member organizations that wish to vote by mail. In addition to the candidates recommended for the Slate by the Nominations Committee, further nominations may be offered from the floor on the day of the election.
