......... LETTER: April 6, 2005 Mayor's Appointments to MDC Catherine Burton, President of McANA, sent the following letter to Mayor Peterson. RE: Request for meeting Dear Mayor Peterson, At the February Quarterly Neighborhood Leaders meeting, we delivered to you a letter requesting a meeting to discuss our concerns about conflicts of interest connected to political appointments on the Metropolitan Development Commission. To date we have not heard for your office to schedule this meeting. While we understand that you have many demands on your time, we want to affirm that this is a critical issue to the neighborhoods MCANA represents. As you heard from several people at the February meeting, there is growing concern about how decisions regarding land use issues are impacting Marion County’s neighborhoods. We would appreciate a response from your office by April 15 to discuss the requested meeting. Sincerely, Catherine
